decisions for this summer

Last summer Leah was a rafting guide for Bigfoot rafting company in willow creek, CA. I went to visit her and loved the place and thought it would be really fun to try adn work there this summer. so i sent my resume in and the owners called me today and said i would definitely be bale to work there. So this is all very exciting but now that it's an actual possibility I'm starting to question if it's really what i wanna do. I don't wanna miss this chance to do something out of the ordinary that I might regret not doing. But at the same time I dont want to miss going home and my family and all my friends and everything.
So this is all very exciting because I have this chance to camp all summer, meet new people, learn how to raft and guide, and, lets be serious, this is gonna be the chance of a lifetime. But I can't decide if I want to not see my friends and family more than this....

more updates to come

The BigInning

I'm starting this blog so that my family and close friends can stay updated on my new life in San Francisco. I mst admit I'm not a fan of blogging- it just seems a little concieted...like HEY everyone be interested in me right now! But still I feel like there are a lot of people I want to keep updated and keep close to me in my life and I figured I'd kill all you birds with this one stone.

So as most of you know I have begun my second semester here at USF. The first semester was pretty rocky. Leaving my family, my friends and all my roots in yakima was really hard. For a long time I was afraid I had picked the wrong school. But I was over-reactng...this school is wonderful. It took me a while to acclimate to the people down here. But it's a great city, the best, and the people follow suit...you just have to give it time.

I'm playing rugby trying to get a girls team going, which is much harder than i anticipated. The mens team lets whatever girls show up to practice with them and learn the game, but usually its just me and another girl Lindsey who show up. But the game is amazing and I love learning the new sport.

As far as classes, I'm in the great books program here called St Ignatius Institute (SII). Basically I spend the majority of my time with dead men and their thoughts. I don't mind though, the classes are interesting and the professors, for the most part, are great.

I'm working as a front desk assistant in the office of business and finance on campus and am...getting by. What I AM learning is that I'm not programed for a desk joband am NOT interested in a business or finance major. So that's a learning experience in itself.

more to come, much love
